Internet StupidityWell, maybe not stupidity...callousness could be a more preferable term. Eh, so on one of the forums I frequent, there was a topic posted about two months ago by someone with a self-mutilation disorder. S/he's seeking help and advice. That's all fine and good, s/he needs help from somewhere or someone, and I'm aware of the fact that a lot of parents (including my own) are skeptical of psychiatrists, so that may not be an option for her.   
So lots of people suggest legitimate things.  Seek help from a psychologist, take up jogging, martial arts, playing video games, or writing, et cetera. But this is an internet forum, so Internet Stupidity

Though Emily had never been at ease in crowds, standing in the middle of a town (if this little group of houses in the middle of the wilderness could be called that) with what was most likely the population of the entire town staring at you would have been an unsettling experience for anyone.   
“They look like they think we’re going to eat their children or something. Maybe we should find another town to stay in.” Janus muttered, snatching furtive glances TaleTrin Ch. 5
